Already a hit across the pond and poised to break out in the States, Alberta Cross is a pair of part-swede Londonites whose sound takes some cues from My Morning Jacket, Neil Young and Whiskeytown. Petter Ericson Stakee and Terry Wolfers comprise the two permanent band members who despite their location and background’s have a distinct Southern rock vibe.
AC was a hit at CMJ this past week and their album will soon be released in the US on Geffen records. You can pick up The Thief and the Heartbreaker on iTunes or wait until October 22nd to get their new EP Leave Us or Forgive Us as a digital download from their myspace site.

saw my boys at cmj...fuckin awesome as always. the new track sounded spectacular.

This is the first place I heard about this band, and I basolutely love them. CMJ.com has a poll on the breakout act of this year's CMJ. Guess who is number 1 right now??? go vote! www.cmj.com
