Yet another Wolf Parade “spin-off” that really kicks ass. I finally got this album last week after a little mix up with Sub Pop (how was I supposed to know that I had a mail box at work? Nobody tells me anything around here…) and it was definitely worth the wait. The Furs are made up of Dan Boeckner (vocalist and lead guitarist from Wolf Parade)and his soon to be wife, Alexei Perry (Added plus: she is very easy on the eyes…). The mellow beats provided by a drum machine are hypnotizing and energizing all at the same time and are the perfect backdrop for Boeckners’ unique vocals. The excellence of this album only serves to get me even more pumped for the upcoming Wolf Parade album. Here are two of my favorite tracks…
