Just as suicide Sundays have been transformed into Sunday fundays, Tuesdays – the recently appointed shittiest day of the week – will so be transformed into Tuesday awesomeday (yeah, i know. genius name). As a farewell of sorts, we will treat this Tuesday, August 21, as the final junky bluesday Tuesday that it is. Hope you enjoy. Or get depressed and off yourself. Hiiih no. Hiiih no. Voxtrot, whose single “Firecracker” will be released on September 3, is touring all over our beautiful earth, but most importantly will be playing at the Bluebird in Denver on October 1. Sleeping at Last, a trio out of Chicago, will not be playing in Denver. Except on my iPod. And hopefully yours. The track I chose, “Umbrellas,” comes from their third album, Keep No Score, which was released in 2006. The unaptly named Blonde Redhead is back on the blog with their title track from their April released album, 23. Ees good. For all you ACL goers, they will be playing on Friday the 14th.
