The first single from Iron & Wine’s new album, The Shepherd’s Dog, has been released and it is a great song. The new album, Sam’s 3rd full length, sounds like it will continue down the current path of a much stronger, louder sound with more instrumentation then than the whispered, quiet words of the previous two albums. Iron & Wine is one of my favorite acts and if the new album is anything like Boy With a Coin it will once again be very freaking good. The Shepherd’s Dog hits stores on September 25th.
