Yessss!!! As disappointing as the Rockies first ever World Series appearance was, the let down will be very short lived. That’s because tonight is the start of the 2007 run to the championship for the Dallas Mavericks. After last season when the Mavs compiled the 6th best record in NBA regular season history and then choked it all away in the first round of the playoffs, nothing that the Mavs do in the regular season will erase the voices that remind, “it doesn’t matter if they can’t do it in the playoffs.” That’s all but fine with me… consider em an also ran… then watch them run through the playoffs…
No song gets me more pumped for Mavs basketball then Emienence Front, The Who classic that welcomes the Mavericks to the floor every game (or at least it did when I lived there two years ago…)
I also picked up the Big Change:Songs for FINCA charity album off of iTunes . The songs that made this compilation were handpicked by The Shins favorite pitchwoman Natalie Portman and she did a pretty damn good job. M Ward, Tom Brosseau, The Shins, Beirut and Rogue Wave highlight the artists. It’s only $8, it’s DRM-free and it’s for a good cause so do yourself a favor and go buy it.
